The Visa Information Service, operated by TeleTech Government Solutions, LLC in partnership with Computer Science Corporation (CSC) provides an operator-assisted service between 8:00 and 18:00, Monday through Friday (except on American and Japanese holidays). Please note that this service is a user-pays service. You will need to have a valid VISA, MasterCard, or JCB ready before you use this service. The fee is $18.35 per call/email.

When you first dial, an automatic voice response system will walk you through the credit card validation process. Please ensure that you have a pen and paper ready to write down a PIN (Personal Identification Number). This PIN is generated in case your call is dropped while you are still waiting for the live service operator. Once connected to the live service operator you can begin your inquiry for visa information.
How to call from a mobile phone:
To access the service using a mobile or cellular phone, the applicant must register the cell phone number for international calls. To register, please complete the following steps:
- Call 0057 and listen to KDDI's recorded message
- Press *5 for operator assistance in English
- Tell the operator you want to register your mobile phone. The operator will ask you for the following information:
- your mobile phone number;
- your mobile phone compnay;
- your name;
- your address; and
- your credit card number and its expiration date (this is to verify your identify).
- Wait for one hour while your registration request is being processed. There is no fee for registration. If you call the international toll free number and make no other international calls, you will not be charged anything.
- Call the Visa Information Service at 00531-13-1353.

Misprint on the Visa: Request for Correction
To avoid delay in travel, please check the information printed on the visa upon receipt to confirm that it is correct. Biographic information on the visa should match the information found on the passport biographic page. If you notice a misprint on your visa, please submit this form. We will determine the legitimacy of the correction request and provide you further instructions.
